For this website, I created cartoon Byron. Or, more accurately, AI created cartoon Byron based on my LinkedIn profile picture.
The profile picture you choose to use says something about you. You might be super corporate and conservative. Perhaps a bit more fun loving with a pic from vacation.
For the longest time, on LinkedIn I had a headshot that I cropped from a vacation photo. I liked it. I looked genuinely happy and it was my small bit of rebellion in the world not to have a corporate looking headshot. However, there comes a time when you admit the headshot is a lie and it looks like a historical version of you instead of reality. It was getting to be over 10 years old and we all change.
When I started working for Asper School of Business they do head shots every year or so. This was my chance to update and I took it. It’s not quite as happy in the picture (vacation in Mexico is better than the best day at the office), but a decent and realistic picture. Check it out on my LinkedIn if you’re curious.
AI created cartoons are all the rage right now and I thought it would be fun to make a cartoon of me based on my current headshot. It was pretty quick and easy. I think it turned out pretty good.
I was amused enough that I posted it on facebook. The comments that came back were interesting. Mostly related to me looking youthful. I admit, the cartoon takes off a few years and pounds. So, it appears I’m back to where I started from, and my profile picture is again a lie.
